Dennis Robert Sheret
May 10, 2017
Dennis Robert Sheret passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 with his loving wife, Rae by his side. He was born in Hanover, MA on July 20, 1949 to Robert and Claire Sheret; he was the oldest of 5 boys. In 1967, he graduated from Hartford High School in Vermont. He also was a National Merit Scholar for the State of Vermont. Dennis was gifted with a brilliant mind and excelled in all that he attempted. He was more than glad to share his wisdom with his family and friends. The phone at his home would often ring with someone wanting to know how to build or fix something and Dennis was always pleased to be of help. He was an avid reader and on the weekends, he would go to the library and get 4 or 5 books and read them all. Dennis was fortunate to live in Alaska for many years and loved to share stories of the beauty there. He loved wood working and restoring old Victorian homes. “Let the sawdust roll,” he would say. One of his favorite pass times was sitting on the beautiful deck that he built at home. With a pipe in one hand and the New York Times crossword puzzles in the other. He would watch the many birds come to the water and bird feeders that he has set out. Dennis was a true Renaissance Man and he will be deeply missed by those who loved and knew him. Dennis is survived by his devoted and beloved wife, Rae Mullenix; daughter, Tracy Horst; daughter, Melissa Krug and brother, Peter (Ann) Sheret. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation to Pathways Hospice of Northern Colorado: 305 Carpenter Rd, Fort Collins, CO 80525.
