Duane Franklin Elbrader passed away November 12, 2019 at age 86, peacefully at home as he wanted. Born in Cheyenne Wyoming in 1933, son of Frank and Thelma Elbrader. Brothers Robert Elbrader of Layton, Utah and James Elbrader of Pocatello, Idaho, sister Patricia Faulkner of Los Angeles, California. Both Robert and Patricia deceased. He spent his childhood in Pocatello, Idaho where he married Millie Shorten in 1952. Children: Ricky Elbrader, deceased (Debbie) of Pocatello, Idaho, daughter Teri Wardlaw (Roger) of Fort Collins, Colorado, sons Roger Elbrader (Karen) of Fort Collins, Colorado and Michael Elbrader of Las Vegas, Nevada. Duane had seven Grandchildren and seven Great Grandchildren. He served in the United States Air Force for four years as a Staff Sergeant during the Korean War where he spent time in Germany and California. He also worked for the Federal government as a Computer Specialist and Programmer and retired in 1979. Duane spent 53 years in Colorado and the last 12 years in Windsor, Colorado. He loved his family and especially his wife Millie, of 66 years. Accomplishments were programming on the first IBM computer, living under 14 presidents, experiencing God and country, husband and father and his loving family. He believed in “Respect for other people, honor your family and live a good Christian life.” His words of wisdom were, “Life is short, enjoy your time on earth and make it a better place for those you leave behind.” Cremation has taken place and a family gathering is planned for a later date. May he rest in peace.
