Ed Vogl was born and raised in Fort Lupton and Johnstown area where he went to school and was on the High School track team. He was the second to the youngest of seven children. Predeceased in death were Albert of Orange County, CA; George in Texas; Robert of Lubbock , TX; and Francis of Orange County, CA. Surviving siblings are Richard Vogl of Longmont, CO and Francis Virginia (Vogl) Martin of Strasburg, CO and Sister in Law, Margarete Vogl, wife of Richard along with nieces and nephews. He was an Army Private during the Korean War and served as a Engr. Equipment Mechanic. He received the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He was a Dairyman and farmer in the Longmont area for many years and retired to Livermore, CO. He was an inventor and had several patents. He was a very private man, highly intelligent, a good neighbor, big hearted and a good friend. He loved his family. He loved Saint Jude and was generous and charitable to children foundations.
