Eloyce Gallivan

January 11, 1928 - July 21, 2017

Eloyce Gallivan, 89, of Loveland, Colorado died July 21, 2017. Memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2017, 2:30 pm at the Loveland Church of Christ, 4100 S Taft Ave, Loveland, CO. Burial and graveside funeral service will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, July 29th in Cottonwood Cemetery, in Cottonwood, TX. Following the graveside services, the family will be receiving friends in the home of Tim and Denise Coulter (12631 FM 880 East, near Cottonwood) . Eloyce was born January 11, 1928 in Wheeler County, Texas to Orman and Cornelia Sandifer. So soon after the depression, Eloyce’s family relocated several times throughout Texas as her father sought work. She graduated from high school in Cross Plains, TX and married Frank Gallivan in 1949 in Fort Worth, TX. Eloyce and Frank spent time in Chicago, then Washington, DC where she worked for many years as an administrative assistant for Admiral Feightner at the Pentagon. The couple eventually retired back to Texas, then to Payson, Arizona. Eloyce was a devout Christian who attended the Church of Christ wherever she lived. She was also a gourmet cook and the daughter, sister, wife mother, aunt grandmother and great-grandmother any family could ever hope for. Eloyce was a member of the Cottonwood Church of Christ and volunteered for many years at the Cross Plains Library. Eloyce is survived by her children, Mary Kathleen Gallivan (Wes Crist) of Loveland, CO and Frank Michael Gallivan (Rosie Gallivan) of Chantilly, VA; four grandchildren: Meghan Gallivan, Colleen Aubel (Matt Aubel), Jeanie Boymel (Eli Boymel) , and Conrad Crist (Gwen Crist); 4 (almost 5) great-grandchildren: Kyler, Miyah, Nevyn, Audrey, and the ‘wild thing’ on the way. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Frank (Mickie) Gallivan, Brother Charles B. Sandifer, and sister, Yvonne Peevy. If desired, friends may make memorial donations to the Mountain States Children’s Home in Longmont, CO (www.msch.org) or to the Cross Plains Library, Cross Plains Texas. (www.crossplainslibrary.com)
