Ila Marie Potter

Ila Marie Fenwick Bradley Potter passed away on August 25, 2017, in Loveland, Colorado. She was 98 years old. She was the youngest child of James E. Fenwick and Tona C. Fenwick. She was first married to Rubert W. Bradley who preceded her in death. She later married Charles D. Potter who preceded her in death. She was later married to Ralph L. Wallace who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her father, mother, five siblings, and three sons. Ila is survived by a son Dennis Bradley and a daughter Darlene Bradley, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. For many years she was involved in farming and ranching on the original Fenwick family farm northwest of Ogallala prior to moving to Colorado in 1964 where she lived out her life in the Greeley, Fort Collins, and Loveland areas. Ila was a dedicated and loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker, known for her fun-loving personality and infectious laughter. She had a brave, courageous spirit. She was a survivor. She enjoyed bowling and playing cards with family, friends and neighbors. An excellent cook and seamstress, she once belonged to a neighborhood homemakers’ club. In the 1950s, Ila was honored as a Life Member of the Air Defense Team in the Ground Observer Corps. Later, she was active in real estate sales, Avon sales, and served as an elementary school cook and school bus driver. She was honored for her 25-year association with the Volunteers of America. A memorial service was held on August 27, 2017, in Loveland, Colorado. Goes Funeral Care in Fort Collins is caring for Ila’s arrangements. Cremation has taken place. A memorial fund has been established in the name of Ila M. Potter; donations to the fund may be made to Father’s House Ministries; 2649 East Mulberry, Unit 19, Fort Collins, CO 80524.
