Janice Ann Kennedy, 79, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 12, 2021. Jan was born to Bernard and Anne Chudars on June 5, 1942 in South St. Paul, Minnesota. Jan was oldest of three children with siblings Joan and Jim. After high school Jan married Jim Kennedy in August 1963. Together they had three children; John Edward, David James, and Carol Ann. The family enjoyed traveling, camping and going to the lake in Wisconsin. Jan was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Jan was an X-Ray technician for 40+ years in Cedar, Minnesota. She enjoyed singing, especially at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Her family and many friends were the joy of her life. Her kind and fun-loving spirit will live on in her family members and those lives she touched. Jan moved to Loveland, Colorado in 2004, fulfilling a lifelong dream. She had an exceptional group of friends for the past 17 years when she lived at Mirasol Independent Living in Loveland, Colorado. She was predeceased by her parents Bernard and Anne, and her brother Jim. Jan is survived by her ex husband Jim Kennedy, her children, John Kennedy (Barb), Dave Kennedy, and Carol Kennedy, grandchildren, and great grandchild. She will also be missed by her sister Joan (Mike) sister-in-laws Shawn, Bev and Joan and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 9 am, Saturday, May 14, 2022 in South St. Paul, Minnesota. It will be held at Klecatsky & Sons Funeral Home, 414 Marie Avenue, South St. Pau, Minnesota 55075, (651) 451-1551. Gathering time 9-11am, with memorial service at 11am. Graveside service at Resurrection Cemetery, 2101 Lexington Ave. S. Mendota Heights, MN, 55120 with a luncheon to follow. Please make donations in Jan’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
