Martha Gail Glista Adams

Martha (Tillson) Glista Adams went peacefully into the Lord’s arms on Dec 23, 2017 in Fort Collins, CO after a short battle with multiple myeloma. She was born on Aug 10, 1941 in Utica, NY the daughter of the late Francis & Gweneth Tillson. Marty was graduate of Whitesboro HS where she made many friends and began to establish her lifelong social network. She held many professional positions throughout her life and worked with special needs children at BOCES from where she recently retired. She was married first to Norman Glista and later to Charles Adams. Marty will be remembered for her small stature yet big heart. She was a dedicated volunteer with may organizations and an active member of Whitesboro Presbyterian Church. Marty was an avid quilter and reader. She enjoyed spending time with family and her many close friends. Marty also loved to travel and enjoyed new experiences. She was predeceased by her daughter Denise Glista. She is survived by her son David Glista and his wife Lisa Boesch of Fort Collins; and grandchildren Logan and Sydney Glista. She is also survived by her sister Carol Lovins of Jacksonville, FL and brother and sister-in-law Bill and Gerri Duerheimer of Portsmouth, VA; along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. A tribute to Marty’s life will be held in Central NY at a later date.
