Phyllis Emmalyn Parker

Phyllis Emmalyn Parker, 88 went to be with the angels on April 17, 2017. Phyllis was born to Elsa and Alfred Peterson on April 14, 1929 in Moline, Illinois. She attended Moline public schools. Phyllis was proud of her Swedish heritage and was a lifetime member of Clara Lodge of the Independent Order of Vikings. Phyllis married Bernard Glen O’Neil and gave birth to three children; John, Thomas and Greeta. After she divorced Bernard, she married Derald Mosher and gave birth to Bradley Mosher. Derald passed away and she later married Robert L. Parker on November 30, 1987. Phyllis lived in Moline, Illinois all her life until she moved to Fort Collins, Colorado with Robert to be closer to her children. She was a kind and gentle soul who loved reading, especially mysteries. She was a professional musician and played the piano in many venues in the Quad Cities and Midwest. Phyllis also loved crafts and needlework. She made lovely rugs and needlepoint pictures. Phyllis was preceded in death by her daughter, Greeta; her son,Thomas and her parents Alfred and Elsa. She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Parker of Fort Collins, Colorado; her son, John O’Neil, also of Fort Collins; her son, Bradley Mosher of Red Feather Lakes, Colorado; her sister, Elaine Christianson of Moline, Illinois; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her niece, Barbara Butterworth. A memorial service will be held later at the Rock Island Arsenal in Rock Island, Illinois. She will be greatly missed! The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff of Collinwood Assisted Living Facility and Suncrest Hospice.
