Aaron S. Trujillo

Aaron Trujillo, age 44 of Fort Collins, CO passed away peacefully on September 27, 2022. Aaron was born on November 14, 1977, to Sam and Paula Trujillo also of Fort Collins.

Aaron graduated from Rocky Mountain High School. He had a passion for sports. He loved football, played high school baseball, and later played coed softball with his family and men's softball through the city. He always carried a mitt, and many times was found catching for his siblings for practice. Later, he carried that love of ball playing on with his nieces and nephews.

Aaron was a truck driver by trade. He started out driving the elderly to their appointments and events. He took pride in taking care of his 'clients.' Aaron loved driving. The bigger the truck the better. Whatever the job, it wasn't about the destination, it was about the journey!

Aaron was a natural joker. He loved making people laugh. He loved to play pranks. He was also a good impersonator. He kept the kids laughing with his impersonations of Curious George, Scooby Doo, and other characters. He came to name his then young niece Kianna, Scrappy, and would always do Scooby impersonations. He also would do different accents and kept his siblings laughing with the phrase "it's in the goalie box" in a lovable accent! We never knew quite what that meant.

Aaron's pride and joy was his daughter Shanelle. Shanelle was Aaron's "Princess Chipmunk." There was no end to what he would do for her. His aim was always to make her proud.

Aaron's heart was one that knew no bounds as far as family and friends were concerned. He would give you the shirt off his back and would throw in the rest of the attire if you asked. He was always there to lend a helping hand, giving rides to friends, or just lending an ear. Anything to make everyone else's day better.

Aaron is survived by his parents Sam and Paula Trujillo, aka Pops and Lil Mama. They were his rock! He had two sisters, Amy Trujillo and Sonya (Nate) Crawford; one brother Sam (Sharee) Trujillo; daughter Shanelle Carrera; nieces Kianna (Eric) Woodbury, Ahsha Crawford, Alexys Palmier, and Liliana, Mia, and Sariah Trujillo; nephews Tre and Danny Trujillo; great nephew Ezekiel Woodbury; and a special cousin Diane Castellanos whom he called Aunt Diane; as well as many cousins, aunts, and uncles.

A quote from his nephew Eric summed it up: "He's the coolest guy you'd every know!"

A Memorial Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at St. John XXIII University Church (1220 University Ave, Fort Collins, CO 80521)
