Adam John Lofink

Since 1978, Adam and his loving wife, Luella have been residents in Fort Collins; 13 years in the Red Feathers Lakes area. He was born on February 27, 1926 to John and Katherine (Reich) Lofink and raised with his sister, Emma in Lincoln, Nebraska. Adam enlisted in the military before finishing high school; he was almost 18 years old. He was stationed on the USS New Orleans, a heavy cruiser where he served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. After his service, he met his devoted wife, Luella Mae Cox and they were married on August 27, 1947 in Papillion, Nebraska.

The couple lived in Lincoln where Adam worked as a Master Woodworker at a wood planing mill for the next 30 years. Later, they came to Fort Collins where he worked with Norman Custom Cabinets for 3 years. Afterwards he worked for the Poudre Valley R1 School District, heading up new construction projects for the schools. He and Luella retired to their cabin in Red Feather Lakes 10 years later; then back to Fort Collins 9 years ago.

Adam loved his family dearly and had a passion for woodworking, fishing and hunting. He also invented/created several useful designs over the years.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Luella Lofink; son, Jim (Diana) Lofink; granddaughter, Kimberlee; sister, Emma and his nieces & nephews.
