Angela Dione Kerstiens

Angela Kerstiens, 51, unexpectedly passed from this life on Friday, September 23, 2022. Although her life ended too early; her spirit, and the love of all those she touched, will endure. With her warmth and ease of conversation, Angela would make a friend of anyone she met. Her infectious smile would always light up any room she entered. She found fun in everything she did and shared her enjoyment with everyone around her. She was gentle, and kind, but also strong and determined. She always knew the right thing to say or do when it mattered the most.

Angela was born in Alamogordo, New Mexico to Horace Scott Crews Jr. and Ramona Crews, and grew up in Victorville, California. She graduated from San Diego State University with a BA in Public Administration. She worked for Willis Towers Watson for 24 years, and her coworkers were like a second family to her.

Angela was the dedicated wife and best friend to Kenneth Kerstiens for 15 of the happiest years of their lives. She was a wonderful daughter-in-law to Richard and Shirley Kerstiens. Angela was the loving sister of Cris Lovins and her husband Ken and Sylvia Arguello and her husband John. She was the "fun" auntie to Kaley Lovins, Natalie Lovins, Alexis Arguello, and Ethan Arguello. Her nieces and nephew meant the world to her, and she was as much of a friend as an aunt to them. Angela was an animal lover and a dedicated dog mom to Dexter. He will miss her loving attention, long walks, and smuggled snack treats.

Angela and Ken met in San Diego, California where they were married and established a home, lifelong friends, and great memories before moving to San Jose, California. It was in San Jose that Angela discovered a love for origami and the San Jose Sharks. It was only a brief time that Angela and Ken lived in Fort Collins, Colorado before her untimely passing.

Angela knew how to live a full life and loved new experiences. Her "happy place" was Sedona Arizona where she could be at one with nature and beauty. She and Ken could always find connection with each other in a different way when hiking. She also loved exploring her neighborhood and joining events and activities, especially if it included live music. She had a passion for fashion and loved finding the best deals. Even Carrie Bradshaw would be impressed by her shoe collection.

The family plans to hold a celebration of life early in the Spring of 2023.
