Ann Elizabeth Eaton passed away peacefully on July 27, 2024, after a 9-year journey with dementia. A Fort Collins resident, Ann and her husband Raymond Eaton (deceased) were married for 53 years. Ann was known in the community for her kindness, humor, and compassion.
Ann was a devoted wife and loving mother to Mary Kemmer, Mike Eaton, Rachel Eaton, and Ruth Pankratz. Ann said her children improved her life, and the family flourished from Ann's love and support. Ann was a loving grandmother to six grandchildren—Ruby, David, Ashley, Ryan, Cassie, and Charlotte. And she was a great-grandmother to nine great-grandchildren—Violet, Breeze, Daphanie, Jordan, Lena, Kate, Ty, Luke, and Emily.
Ann's life started in Chicago, Illinois, where she attended school, enjoyed life with her brother and parents, and completed nursing school. In the 1960s, Ann married Ray Eaton, started a family and moved to Colorado. While raising her children, Ann became an accomplished photographer and published poet.
After her kids had grown, Ann returned to school to get a massage therapy license and started a massage therapy practice. She also served as a hospice volunteer and sent angel posters to grieving parents.
Ann's life celebration will be a private service. To honor Ann, please be kind to others and consider donating to Pathways Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association.
