Anna Caroline Eldridge

Anna Caroline Eldridge, of Colorado Springs, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 10th surrounded by her family. She died of natural causes at the age of 96 in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Mrs. Eldridge was born in St. Louis, Missouri on March 8, 1919 to Anna G. Brostmeyer and Louis B. Adams. She had one brother, John Adams. Anna grew up in St. Louis and met her husband at a skating rink around 1938. She married Robert Walter Eldridge, also of St. Louis Missouri on May 18, 1946, following his return from overseas at the end of World War II. She patiently waited for him to return to her from the time of his departure for the Philippines in 1939 until the end of the war. Following their marriage they enjoyed tours of duty in Louisiana, Texas, Illinois, Colorado, France, California, and Germany. Mr. and Mrs. Eldridge settled permanently in Colorado Springs after Bob retired from the Air Force in 1969.

Mrs. Eldridge enjoyed a larger family in her participation in various Masonic organizations including Order of the Eastern Star (Ft. Valley Chapter 155 and Snowflake Chapter 153), White Shrine of Jerusalem (Messiah Shrine 12), Daughters of the Nil-Ruahamah (Temple 71), and Order of Amaranth (Pikes Peak Court). She and Mr. Eldridge also devoted many years of service to Jobs Daughters and Demolay.

Mrs. Eldridge is survived by her son, Glenn Eldridge and his wife Barbara of Aurora, Colorado; son, Dale Eldridge and his wife Marie of Fort Collins, Colorado and son, Gary Eldridge and his wife Quamrun of San Jose, California. Anna had nine grandchildren: David, Brenton, Cami, Jeremy, Christopher, Justin, Kyle, Timothy and Fahrin, and five great grandchildren, Miriam, Isaiah, Samuel, Anna, and Brettney.

Preceding Anna in death is her husband, Robert Walter Eldridge who passed on September 30, 2005 and her brother, John.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 14th at 1:00 pm at the Colorado Springs Masonic Temple, 1150 Panorama Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado.

A Burial with Committal Service will be held on Monday, August 17th at 1:30 pm at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Avenue in Staging Area B, Denver, Colorado.
