Anna Elizabeth Schrodt, 98 died at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colorado on March 18, 2018. Anna was a long time resident of Sierra Madre, California until she moved to Fort Collins to live closer to her daughter in 2013. Anna was born November 27, 1919 in Los Angeles, California to John and Katherine (Bierscheid) Rahm. Anna was known to her two brothers Fred and Alonzo (Bud) as "sis". There they grew-up in southern California where Anna attended business school after graduating from St Agnes High School. She worked as a switch board operator for the Pacific Telephone Co and while working there she met the love of her life Robert (Bob) Schrodt. They were married on May 23, 1942; and were married for 25 plus years.
Anna was a receptionist at the Petite beauty salon, an apartment manager for the Sylvan West apartment complex and as a sales clerk for the Spinning Wheel gift shop, in Sierra Madre. Anna was a devoted wife to her husband and mother to her two daughters. Anna loved playing card games and was known to organize card parties during the summer for the neighborhood kids. Anna loved watching baseball, especially her L.A. Dodgers. She liked going to the movies and was known to teach her grandchildren to dance. After moving to Fort Collins Anna became a member of St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
Anna is survived by her two daughters Cecilia Larson (Charles) and Loretta Hoff (Ron) and her eight grandchildren; Paul Larson (Brenda), Jennifer Schmidt (Eric), Patrick Larson (Laurie), Anna Young (Mark), Caryl Mason (Mike Doerscak), Lynette Klingenmeier (J.T.), Joanna McAffee (Alec) and Brittany Larson-La Musga (Asa). She had twenty-two great-grandchildren; Michael (Marilyn), Jasper, Christian, Ryleigh, Todd, Heather, Allyson, Chad, Jakob, Jessica, Justin, Jason, Rachel, Samuel, Benjamin, Hunter, Hayden, Savannah, Daniel, Matthew, Charles and Pressley and two great-great grandchildren; Blayne and Layla.
Anna is preceded in death by her parents John and Katherine (Bierscheid) Rahm, her husband Bob Schrodt,( August 15, 1970) and her two brothers Fred Rahm (Nov 9, 1977) and Alonzo (Bud) Rahm (Nov 28, 2015).
A small private gathering by family members with a rosary and burial blessing occurred on March 20, 2018. A Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am, July 11th at St Rita's Catholic Church in Sierra Madre, CA, with interment to follow at Resurrection cemetery Montebello, Ca with her beloved Bob. She will be missed.
