Anne Marie Scott passed away peacefully on April 28 with her family at her side. She was 78 years of age.
Marie was born in Ossining, New York on July 24, 1947, the daughter of James Francis McNamara and Ann (Mehan) McNamara. Marie graduated from Mary Emaculate High School.
She went on to attend State University of New York at Brockport, where she majored in economics. There she met Alan Scott. They were united in marriage on October 24, 1972. In 1976 they moved to Fort Collins where she began her career as a probation officer in Larimer County working mostly with adolescents.
Throughout her retirement Marie was blessed with calls and letters from former clients saying what an influence she was and how she had helped to turn their lives around.
Marie was a founding board member for Partners, a youth mentoring program that still operates in Larimer and Weld counties. She and Alan built a home and moved to Loveland in 1978.
Marie was an avid sports fan, she enjoyed music, dancing, dining out with friends, traveling, caring for animals, flowers, and time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and infant son Zachary James.
Those left to celebrate her memory are friends, her loving husband Alan, daughter Kellie, son Matthew, and grandchildren Ben and Reagan.
