Anthony Konopka

May 14, 1947 — Jun 4, 2009

Our beloved Tony passed from the earthly realm on Thursday, June 4th. Born of Polish parents in an English refugee camp in 1947, Tony grew up in Argentina and Chicago and then lived in several locations throughout the United States, most recently in Fort Collins, Colorado. Devoted husband, brother and cherished friend, Tony left us far too suddenly and now our wounded hearts are left to reconcile his passing. A brilliant doctor of Chinese medicine, Tony provided a wealth of healing energy for those fortunate enough to participate in his services. From acupuncture to Chinese herbs to spiritual counseling and Shamanism, Tony devoted his life to serving those in need of healing from a physical, emotional and spiritual perspective. This desire to help heal applied as much to healing himself as to the many people he touched. His presence emitted a rare combination of both humor and profound knowledge. His was a huge energy that left us at times laughing, at other times puzzled wondering what he was saying and at other times deeply immersed in wisdom that helped us along our own particular paths. It would be impossible to calculate how many lives Tony has touched over his years as a healer and spiritual guide. People all over the United States benefited from his gifts and he will truly be missed. His wife of 31 years, June, and his many devoted friends and family will carry Tony in their hearts and will celebrate his life and the many ways that he has enriched us. No doubt Tony will continue his work in the spiritual realm where he can work unobstructed by physical boundaries. Dear Tony, you are with us always as we are with you. As you ascend to a more refined and beautiful place, we wish for you a joyful and adventurous journey. With deepest love, we bid you a fond and heartfelt adieu.
