She married Wayne Ferrill and from this union, Cindy and Mike were born; Arlene later married John Miller and together they had Bob. John had a daughter from his first marriage, named Carolyn.
Her husband, John died in 1988. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Smith (Bob) of Gilbert, AZ; sons, Mike Ferrill (Carolynn Corwin) of Bakersfield, CA and Bob (Codi) Miller of Rome, GA and step- daughter, Carolyn (Jim) Opitz of Marshfield, Wis.; grandchildren, Kerrie (Randy) Harden, Chris (Brittany) Ferrill, Jon (Kaitlin) Miller and Preston Twito; 8 great-grandchildren, Kaitlin, Sawyer and Luke Harden, Beckham Ferrill, Braylon, Embri & Elijah Miller and Aura Twito; and three great-great-grandchildren, Mila Pardo and Azriel and Kendall Harden. God was first in her life: she "had a good life and had a lot of fun". Arlene prayed the Rosary every morning and night. St. Padre Pio was a favorite Saint of hers. She enjoyed dancing and reading and giving of herself. She volunteered with many organizations, including the Church, the Food Bank and Lions Club. Arlene was also a Cub Scout Leader back in Bob's youth. She also volunteered for everything having to do with her children's schools.
Most of Arlene's working years were spent as a secretary at Woodward Governor. Though she found her home as the Secretary, Receptionist and Administrative Assistant at John XXIII University Parish. With all of the students coming and going, she became a grandma to confide in to countless "kids" over the years. She filled in as "mom" to several priests as well.
Arlene's family is especially grateful to the staff at Centre Ave and to Pathways of Northern Colorado for their tender and loving care in her final days.
In lieu of flowers, please contribute to St. John 23rd Parish in Arlene's memory.
