Arthur Horn was born April 30, 1958 to Farley and Lucille Horn. He joined his sister, Barbara, in a halcyon childhood in Falls Church, Virginia. He spent his early days playing and coaching Little League, and inventing games and adventures with the many neighbor kids. He developed a passion for golf and the neighborhood gang established tournaments that went from yard to yard, complete with leader board. Art competed on the golf team at McLean High School, and spent countless hours on the course.
In 1985 Art met his future wife at the Birchmere in Alexandria, Virginia where the bluegrass-packed schedule formed a basis for their life together. Art and Allison moved to Fort Collins in 1989, and Art’s friendliness, adaptability, and empathy led to success in sales, first in furniture and finally in clean room equipment. He enjoyed traveling the world and working with researchers to meet their clean room needs. Art will be remembered for his good humor, kindness, and generosity.
He is survived by his wife Allison of Fort Collins; sister Barbara Rogers of Herndon, Virginia; niece Stacy Rogers of Aldie, Virginia; nephew Chris of Alexandria, Virginia; as well as many beloved cousins. A memorial service will be held Monday, August 24, 2026 at 2:30 pm at The Lodge at MacKenzie Place, 4751 Pleasant Oak Drive in Fort Collins. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to the Lewy Body Dementia Association.
