Barbara L. Ball passed away at home on September 5, 2024. Barb was born in Yuma, Colorado, to Gilbert E. and Esther J. Ball. Her childhood was spent in Colorado and Wyoming. She graduated from high school in Glenrock Wyoming in 1972 and attended Chadron State College, graduating with a bachelor's in music in 1976. Barb taught both junior high and high school music for fourteen years in O'Neill, Nebraska, and offered private piano lessons. She enjoyed teaching music, co-producing musicals and advising yearbook staff, sharing her passion for music and her love of others. In 1990, she moved to Ft Collins, Colorado, and after a short time, began working in the occupational therapy department at CSU. During this time in administrative positions, including financial officer and assistant to the department head, she served many selflessly. She retired in 2021 after 28 years of service.
Barb enjoyed music, playing piano and games, reading, gardening, photography, cross-stitching, hiking, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Her travels included many national parks, Canada, Japan, England, Sweden and most recently, a three-week trip to Acadia National Park. Barb lived and enjoyed each day to the fullest demonstrating her dry wit, humor, and constant trust in God.
Barb is survived by her siblings, Nancy Ball, Beverly Moberly, David Ball (Pam), nieces Erika Graver (Gareth), Megan Payne (Stephen), and nephew David Ball, as well as many friends.
