Bernard (Ben) McDonald Howarth, age 59 passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Tuesday, August 20th, 2019 in his Fort Collins residence. Ben was born January 4, 1960 in Subic Bay U.S. Naval Base, Philippines to Elizabeth and Darrell Howarth. He was a 1977 graduate of Pomona High School Arvada, CO, earned a bachelor's degree in History from the University of Colorado in 1982 as well as a J.D. from Creighton University.
He leaves behind three sons he loved dearly and was so proud of: Taylor, Max and Jack Howarth. He is also survived by his siblings Tom Howarth of Albuquerque, NM, Dan Howarth of Baltimore, MD, Susan Kelly of Albuquerque, NM and his 7 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Howarth of Fort Collins, and his father, Darrell Howarth of Lander, WY. Ben had a successful career as a pharmaceutical representative and attorney. He was an excellent skier and enjoyed hiking and golf. He loved camping with his children on the Colorado National Monument and Colorado Grand Mesa. He took excellent care of his mother in the final years of her life. His family and friends will miss his wonderful sense of humor and kind, generous spirit, but most of all, his hugs and love.
