Bernice E. Schumacher

Bernice E. Schumacher of Loveland, CO passed away on November 20th at the age of 101.

Bernice was born in Plainview, MN to parents Louise and Walter in November 1921. She was raised along with her siblings, Ruth and Omar. She was confirmed in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plainview and attended the Immanuel Lutheran School as a child. Bernice graduated from Plainview High School before moving to Red Wing, MN to start her nurses training.

Bernice completed her nurses training and graduated as a Registered Nurse. She worked as an RN for a private practice in Fort Collins for much of her career which she enjoyed greatly. Bernice also found great purpose as a homemaker throughout her life.

Bernice met the love of her life, Donald Schumacher and were married in 1955. Together they raised two children Terryl and Alan.

In her spare time Bernice enjoyed bowling, fishing, camping, crocheting, rock hunting and porcelain painting. She was a dedicated choir member for many years at St. John's Lutheran Church in Fort Collins, CO.

Bernice is survived by her children Terryl Lillvis and Alan Schumacher and two grandchildren.

Bernice was preceded in death by her husband Don, who passed in 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
