William H. Raddatz, age 91 of Fort Collins, Colorado died Saturday, February 27, 2010 at the Pathways Hospice Care Center in Loveland, CO. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with a vigil service at 7:00 P.M. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, March 4, 2010 at St. Joseph Church, Ft. Collins, CO. Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Resthaven Memorial Gardens at 2:00 P.M Thursday. William Herman Raddatz was born December 1, 1918 in West Lorenzo, Nebraska to Otto Raddatz and Emma Ratsch. He graduated from Lorenzo High School in 1936 and married Dorothy Treinen on August 27, 1940 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Sidney, NE. The first 30 years of his life was spent farming. They lived on a farm south of Sidney until moving into Sidney in 1958. In 1963 he moved his family to Fort Collins,CO. In 1970, he retired from farming and devoted his time to real estate and traveling. He joined the Knights of Columbus in 1944, and became a Sir Knight (4th degree) in 1947. He is presently the senior 4th degree member of G. J. Lajaunesse Assembly of the Knights of Columbus. Bill was a member of the Elks in Ft. Collins, CO and a former member of the Ft. Collins Moose Lodge, #275. Bill's wife, Dorothy preceded him in death in 1994. He is survived by four daughters, Jeanette Namuth (and her special friend Ralph Schledewitz) of Ft. Collins, Kathleen (and Doug) Gilpin of Kimberling City, MO, Mary (and Dennis) Morgan of Aurora, CO and Rita (and Gary) Johansen of Roseville, CA; brother, Stanley (and Velma) Raddatz and sister Violet Kurz (and Howard) both of Sidney, NE; ten grandchildren, 17 1/2 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. In addition to Dorothy, Bill is also preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Paul (in infancy), Ervin and Otto; sisters, Bertha and Ethel and his two son's-in-law, Rodney Namuth and Neil Stilwell.
