In Loving Memory of Billy Darold Carrell passed away on 6 June 2024 in Loveland Colorado surrounded by his family. He was born on 7 October 1939 to Jaqueline and Darold Carrell and was raised on a farm in Hemingford NE. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Linda York Carrell and companion Connie Darvo Lever, parents and brother Robert. He is lovingly remembered by his children Chip Carrell, wife Lisa and Tammy Rivers, husband Buford. He was a loving grandfather to 7 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. He is also remembered by his sister Nancy Reynolds and husband Jack and many nieces and nephews. Bill lived a simple life purposely and was a positive influence on everyone he met. After his stint in the Navy he decided there was no real place he needed to see that he could not drive to. He lived in Nebraska and Colorado retiring to both but settling in Fort Collins last to be nearer to family, friends and many different places to eat. He retired from the City & County of Denver as the Senior Heavy Equipment Operator and Trainer. Those who worked with him called him a surgeon with his honed skills on all equipment he operated. He was a loving husband and hands on family man. He participated in muzzle loading shoots and Civil War re-enactments. He loved tinkering in his shop, collecting antiques and shooting antique firearms. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and the many people he touched in his life.
Memorial to take place later this fall, 2024 at Fort Logan National Cemetery. Date to follow.
