Carlyle Williams, 92, of Fort Collins, Colorado, passed away on February 26, 2021.
Carlyle was born in Nebraska in 1928 to Wilford Festus and Mary Alice Williams. He was raised in Grand Island and graduated from Hastings College. On August 17, 1949, he married Martha May Janssen. He was an officer in the Marine Corp before returning to Nebraska. He taught high school and later joined Richard Janssen in the John Deere business in Gothenburg. Carlyle later owned the John Deere business in Lexington before retiring to Placerville CA. In 1990, Carlyle and Marty moved to Fort Collins to be near his son, Mark and family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha May Williams and brothers, Harold and Morrie Williams. He is survived by sons Steven Williams and wife, Linda, of Stilwell KS, Mark Williams and wife, Janelle, of Fort Collins CO, grandsons Skyler Williams and wife, Kristin, of Golden,
CO, Spencer Williams and Benjamin Williams of Fort Collins, CO, great-grandchildren, Nellie and Jack Williams of Golden, CO and sister Rosemary Grant of Fort Collins, CO.
A family gathering will be held at a later date in 2021.
