Carol Morschhauser

Carol Morschhauser passed away Tuesday, June 28,2022 at the age of 78 at her home in Fort Collins, Colorado, after a battle with progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP). Carol was a beloved wife to her husband, Roger, with whom she had just celebrated over fifty years of marriage on June 26th, and mother to her son, Todd of San Diego, California. She is also survived by her sister, Patricia (Horacek) Pyle of Mentor, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn (Chamberlain) and John (Jack) Horacek and siblings, Robert and Richard (Jack). Carol was a dear friend to many others and strived to be a friend to all.

Carol graduated from the University of Texas and from Ashland University in Ohio. She had a rewarding career as a teacher in Sandusky, Ohio where she taught English, Computer Science and Library. She was a passionate reader and would often be reading two books at the same time. Carol was a true life-long learner.

Carol and Roger loved traveling together and during their many vacation trips they visited over twenty-five countries. Their African safari trip was one of the most memorable vacations that Carol would have liked to do again.

Her family is hosting an open house celebration of life at her home, 3662 Little Dipper Drive, on Saturday, July 30, 2022, from 2 – 5 p.m.
