Carol Pante

Today we mourn the loss of Carol Pante, who passed away peacefully at the age of 75 after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was surrounded by her devoted husband, her children, daughters-in-law, and her beloved grandchildren at the time of her passing.

Carol faced her struggle with dementia with remarkable grace and resilience. Even as Alzheimer's progressed, she never lost her sharp sense of humor or her playful spirit — including her trademark, loving gesture of giving her husband "the finger," a sign of affection that perfectly captured her wit and warmth. That humor remained a defining part of her, offering light even in the most difficult moments.

Above all else, Carol was a caretaker in the truest sense of the word. She brought people together. Holidays, birthdays, and family gatherings were anchored in her home and in her generosity. If there was an occasion to celebrate, Carol was hosting it. She had an extraordinary gift for making others feel welcomed, valued, and loved. Her selflessness defined her life; she cared deeply for everyone she knew and continued to do so even through the challenges of Alzheimer's.

Her legacy lives on in the family traditions she built, the laughter she inspired, and the love she so freely gave. She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered by the many lives she touched.
