Carole Marko, 89 of Fort Collins, CO died peacefully at her home on November 3, 2022.

Carole Elaine LaBombard was born June 6, 1933 in Minneapolis, MN to Richard and Grace (Boldman) LaBombard. She grew up in Mechanicsburg, PA. She graduated from Harrisburg Hospital School of Nursing in 1953 and married Rev. Gene Chiavetta Jr. the same year. She worked as an RN until the birth of her first child, Thomas in 1956. Her daughter Lorraine followed in 1957. She was a devoted leader in the churches where her husband was pastor, especially in Detroit, Ml and Bath Township, OH. She returned to nursing in 1978, working in Labor and Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care, Office Nursing, and Home Care.

She married James Marko in Talmadge, Ohio in 1980. They resided in Altamonte Springs, Florida before settling in Fort Collins. She was well known as Jim's accompanist on the piano while he sang sacred music, and they performed together for many years. They volunteered their musical talents at the Fort Collins Good Samaritan Village for 23 years.

Carole was confirmed in the Catholic church in 2003 and was a dedicated member of the Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Parish. She was a faithful woman who loved the Lord, her family, church, and community. She enjoyed Bible study at the church and had a passion for sewing, quilting, baking, and traveling.

Carole is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years Jim, her children Thomas Chiavetta (Catherine) of Fort Collins, CO and Lorraine Chiavetta (Elliot Katz) of Holmdel, NJ, grandchildren Lauren Chiavetta (Brandon Lowe) and Joseph Chiavetta of Fort Collins, David Chiavetta of Landsdale, PA, Benjamin Katz of State College, PA, Emma Katz of New York, NY, one great-grandchild, Isabel Lowe of Fort Collins, two nieces and a nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Joanne Norris of Columbia, PA.

A Rosary at 10:15 AM followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:30 AM will be held on Friday, Nov. 11, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish. Interment will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday, Nov. 12th at Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery.
