Catherine Siekmann

Catherine "Cathy" Siekmann, age 68 of Ft. Collins, CO, died July 5, 2011 at Poudre Valley Hospital. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday at Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Collins Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday at Goes Funeral Care, 3665 Canal Dr., Suite E, Fort Collins. Catherine Louise Fehr was born October 3, 1942 in St. Louis, MO to Arthur Louis and Eleanor Louise Fehr. She grew up in St. Louis and graduated from St. Elizabeth's Academy in 1960. She worked for some years as a bookkeeper until meeting Ronald Clarence Siekmann at a school dance. They were married February 1, 1969 in St. Louis. Together they have three living children and had suffered the loss of two others who were stillborn. Ron worked for Anheuser Busch and transferred to the new facility being built north of Fort Collins in1987. They have lived here ever since. A member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Cathy helped out with Religious Education and in various other capacities. She enjoyed sewing and creating lots of other crafts such as needle pointing and scrapbooking. She was the consummate mom and homemaker. She attended and was active in everything her children were involved in. She was the best cheerleader who adored her children and more recently her grandchildren. Cathy is survived by her three children, Christine Siekmann, Rhonda Siekmann Lindenfeld and Kevin (and Kristen) Siekmann; five grandchildren, Samantha, Trey, Cayson, Breck and KylieAnn; two sisters, Barbara and Rita; her brother, Hank; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
