Charles "Chuck" Majors age 83 of Fort Collins, CO passed away July 19, 2023. Services, with full military honors, will be held at 11:00 am sharp, Friday, September 1, 2023, at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, CO. Staging area A. Interment will occur immediately following the services.
Charles Lee Majors was born October 16, 1939 to Clovis Majors and Virginia Peterson in Fort Collins. Chuck's father served in the Army and they lived on several Army bases around the country and in Okinawa, Japan. He graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1957 and immediately enlisted in the Army himself. During his enlistment, Chuck served in Viet Nam and distinguished himself by serving as a Green Beret; was in the Medic Unit, was a paratrooper and was in the Special Forces.
When Chuck got out of the Army he began his career in the printing business working for several local printers until he began his own print shop "Pioneer Impressions" in Fort Collins.
In 1974, Chuck met Mary Jordan and soon after they were married. He was a longtime member of the VFW in Cheyenne. He was an avid fisherman. He restored cars and enjoyed tying flies for his fishing. He was a woodworker and an oil painter; and was an excellent husband, father, grandfather and family man. He was always there for others.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Mary; daughters Julee (and Jeff) Janssen and Barbara Becker; and grandchildren, Brielle and Layne Janssen and Reil Becker. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Walt Becker.
His family requests that any memorial donations please be made to the National Macular Degeneration Society in his memory.
