Christy Alexander, 38, born December 23,1977 in Corpus Christi, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior November 4, 2016 in Windsor, Colorado.
Christy became a Jesus Follower at the age of seven. She pursued her relationship with Christ through out her life and was passionate about sharing the gospel with others. Her story of salvation led to others giving their lives to Christ, including her deceased father, Michael Thompson.
Growing up, Christy sang in the honor choir and played the french horn in the marching band; music was always a big part of her life. She was an artist who specialized in drawing, calligraphy and painting. She enjoyed crocheting, baking and decorating cakes and cupcakes. Christy was a wife, mother, sister and friend that was compassionate, caring, loving, witty, and smart. She loved her family dearly, was involved in their lives and was the one who always made people laugh.
She moved to Farmington, New Mexico when she was 15 and soon after met the love of her life and future husband, Robert Alexander. They married May 23, 1998 and moved to Golden, Colorado. In May of 2000 the couple moved to Dallas, Texas where their sons, Aiden (2003) and Preston (2005), were born. They made a new home for themselves in Pleasant Grove, Utah in 2006 and welcomed their daughter, Madelynn in 2007. In early 2015, the family moved to Windsor Colorado.
Christy loved God's Word. Her favorite verse was Psalm 27:1, "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid." Her faith has been made sight and she will be remembered for letting the light of Jesus shine in her life.
Christy is survived by her husband, Robert Alexander, and children, Aiden, Preston and Madelynn; her mother, Cheryl Fischer; sister and brothers, Erin Mirabal, Nolan Thompson and Russell Thompson; grandmother, Jacqueline Kennedy and her church family at Living Rock Church.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 8 at 1:00 at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Windsor Colorado. In memory of Christy, donations can be made to the following Go Fund Me Account to aid in the care of her very dear friend who is fighting for her life:
