Connie Claire Molitor Friedrichsen went to heaven May 11,2024. She was 68 years old. She lived in Fort Collins, CO and passed on of natural causes at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland CO after an extended stay.

Connie was born 3/16/56 In Denver, CO to Leroy and Geraldine (Stubbe) Molitor. She was the youngest of her siblings Joseph (Rita) Molitor, Anne Molitor (deceased) and James Molitor, all of Cedar Rapids. The family moved to Cedar Rapids IA where she attended Regis High School and St. Luke's School of Nursing.

She met her husband William Friedrichsen in Cedar Rapids. They were married 5/5/79 and moved to Colorado shortly thereafter, where they lived for the rest of her life. They had two sons, Joseph and Peter. Connie was a loving and devoted mother, giving her time and talents to their education and Christian experience, as well as day trips and travel to visit family members.

Connie had a long career in health care, serving as an LPN, a dental assistant and as a caregiver at the Good Samaritan Village in Fort Collins, CO. She was dedicated to her patients and residents, going far beyond the basics to provide loving care and friendship, especially for her resident friends at Good Sam's.

Connie's faith in Jesus was the core of her life. She was deeply involved in local church ministries in Fort Collins, leading women's prayer and cancer care small groups and was also a member of a city prayer group. She had a prayer ministry with Campus Crusade for Christ and traveled extensively with Bill to pray for and support Christians in northern Africa, the Middle East and southwest Asia. In connection with this ministry, she and Bill lived overseas to better support this ministry. Her service allowed her to travel extensively to Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Israel, Switzerland and Kazakhstan. She loved Christian music of all sorts, and had an extensive knowledge and library of contemporary praise and worship songs.

Connie loved to cook and was always looking for new recipes to prepare. She loved to take walks and hikes whenever time permitted. She greatly enjoyed being with her friends at long conversational meals.
Whenever a friend had a need, Connie was there to provide comfort, support and encouragement. She also liked to travel in the USA, with some of her fondest memories coming from trips to Branson, MO and South Padre Island, TX (with Joe and Rita]. In her childhood, she really looked forward to times spent with her many cousins on their family farm.

A service will be planned for a later date. Please check back for updates.
