Connie Kay Leever

Connie K. (Gericke) Leever, 78, of Fort Collins, CO, passed away on February 2, 2022. Connie was born to Jack and Darlene Gericke on November 4, 1943, in Alliance, NE. The youngest of two daughters, she lived in Alliance for most of her life and graduated from Alliance High School. She was married to Sandy Leever on August 12, 1962. They had one child together, Sheila (Leever) Bacon. She moved from Alliance to Fort Collins in 2000 with Bill Carrell.

Connie worked at K-Mart for many years in Alliance, NE. She also worked as a homemaker and helped with 4-H events while Sheila was young. Connie enjoyed reading, watching crime and mystery shows, and spending time with her family.

Connie is survived by her special friend, Bill Carrell, daughter, Sheila Bacon (Larry), of Merna, NE, granddaughters Janice (Grayson) Lukasik of Florence, MT, and Sarah (Mark) Szakacs of Hyannis, NE, six great-grandchildren, and her dog Maggie. She is preceded in death by her spouse, Sandy, who passed in 1995, both parents, her sister, Darla Brestol, and her grandson, Spencer Bacon.
