Crystal Gene (Wilson) Wilcox, age 75, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, at her home in Loveland, Colorado. Crystal went to be with Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior, surrounded by her loving family.
Crystal was born on September 8, 1950, in the small town of Saint Francis, Kansas, to Wesley Wilson and Anna Marie (Indorf) Wilson. At the age of two, Crystal and her family moved to Boulder, Colorado, where she lived until she graduated from Boulder High School with the Class of 1968. She went on to graduate from the University of Colorado, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). She eventually focused on her passion for pediatric nursing.
Her nursing career took her to Wyoming and Colorado, and finally to Tucson, Arizona, where she served as a nurse at Agua Caliente Elementary. While working at the school, Crystal met the love of her life, Vic Wilcox, in October 1985. Their relationship blossomed, culminating in their marriage in Tucson, Arizona, on June 20, 1986.
Crystal was a woman of strong faith in Jesus Christ. Her faith led her to seek God's will in her life and to know Jesus as her Lord and Savior. Because of her caring heart, she desired for others to know God's will in their lives as well. She expressed this daily by telling her boys, "Let the glory of the Lord be on you." Crystal and her husband, Vic, were longtime members of Foundations Christian Church.
Crystal is survived by her husband and best friend, Vic Wilcox; her son, Wesley Jacob Wilcox, and daughter-in-law, Mariah (Thompson) Wilcox, of Longmont, Colorado; her son, Jonathan Burket Wilcox, of Loveland, Colorado; her sister, Janet (Wilson) Sobey, and niece, Tatiana Marie Sobey, of Houston, Texas; and her brother, Wesley John (Jackson) Wilson, of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by many beloved family members and friends in Tucson, Arizona; Colorado; and Kansas.
Crystal was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley Wilson and Anna Marie (Indorf) Wilson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Foundations Church in Windsor, Colorado, on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 2:00 PM. A reception will follow the service, and all friends and family are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations to Samaritan's Purse would be appreciated.
