Cynthia Rae Vanderheiden

Cynthia Rae Vanderheiden, 54, resident of Fort Collins, CO passed away from a brain tumor Saturday, February 28th at home. It was a blessing and an honor to care for her during the two years she fought to overcome the disease. With dignity, courage and grace she was selfless and fearless in confronting the disorder. It is with the utmost and purest form of love from all the people who know and love her as a wife, mother, relative, friend and most importantly, an educator, that we graciously offer her beautiful spirit over to the next phase of her journey where she will also be loved and cared for.


A life celebration for her love of family, friends and the students she was honored to teach and mentor will be held Friday, March 13, 2015 from 5:30 - 7:30 pm in the Canyon West Ballroom, Lincoln Center, 417 W Magnolia St, Fort Collins, CO.


Donations of flowers for her celebration can be sent to the Lincoln Center, Canyon West Ballroom by 4:30 pm on Friday, March 13th. Financial contributions to the Cindy Vanderheiden Memorial Fund are welcome at the service as well. The family is currently researching non-profit groups that support Cindy's passion for education and mentoring at-risk youths.
