Dale Ernest Langholf, born on November 2, 1943, in Denver, Colorado, peacefully passed away on October 14, 2023, in Fort Collins, Colorado. Loved ones surrounded him as he embarked on his final journey.
Dale was the son of Ernest F. Langholf and Parke D. Langholf, who preceded him in death. His cherished family members survive him: his sons, Andy and Max; his daughter, Rachel; his life partner, Sue; and a legacy of grandchildren, including grandsons Jason, Skyler, Henry, Arthur, Samuel, and granddaughter Lyanna.
Dale's life was a remarkable journey that began in Walden, Colorado, and later took him to Fort Collins. He graduated from Fort Collins High School and served his country with honor as a United States Marine Corps member during the Vietnam War.
After serving in Vietnam, Dale ventured to central and southern California before returning to the state he loved, Colorado, where he would spend the rest of his life. He was a true Coloradan at heart.
Dale had a zest for life and a wide range of passions. He found solace in the great outdoors, enjoying camping and his affinity for horses. His love for animals extended to his most recent pets, Duncan and Esther, who were constant companions. Dale was a skilled leatherworker and took great pride in crafting intricate pieces. He had an enduring fascination with classic cars and was known for his extensive knowledge of military history. He was an avid reader and a dedicated student of history, always eager to expand and share his knowledge.
In honor of Dale's life, a Celebration of Life will be held at Primrose Studio in Fort Collins, Colorado, on Thursday, October 26th, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. For those unable to attend in person, a Zoom link has been provided to join the celebration virtually:
