Dana Allyson Davis

d. Jul 12, 2024

Dana Allyson Davis, 57, of Fort Collins, CO, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2024.

Dana had a strong and unwavering love and passion for animals, nature, and trees. She was a dedicated feeder of birds and by default (or maybe on purpose) of squirrels as well. She could often be seen feeding animals in the extreme heat of summer and deep snow of winter. Dana loved all animals unconditionally - cats, dogs, birds, bunnies, squirrels, racoons, ducks, foxes, and moose - just to name a few. Most of them, as we all know, had been given names by Dana and the animals all knew it! She knew most dogs in her neighborhood and always had treats at the ready for visits on her front porch.

Dana had many fur-babies over the years (Bunnie, Dutch, Dandy, Molly, and Willow) and if you knew Dana, you knew that her animals were her life and priority! She would not have a conversation with anyone without talking about her furry kids. She was a deeply devoted mama to her animals and was known to use her work breaks to go home and feed or give medicine on a regular basis.

Her connections with so many wonderful neighbors and coworkers were heartfelt. She kept eyes and ears out for the safety of her neighbors so if you wanted to know what was going on in the neighborhood, you just had to ask Dana. She also had some amazing coworkers at Thompson School District that made her job so enjoyable. She absolutely loved being a bus paraprofessional and developed a strong affection for all her kids. She also enjoyed seeing movies or grabbing a coffee with friends.

Dana will be deeply missed in this world, but we are all grateful to have known her and to know that we have an amazing guardian angel looking over us and our animals. You are forever in our hearts, dear Dana. XOXO

If you wish to honor Dana, please consider donating to some of her favorite organizations: Rocky Mountain Raptor Program; Animal Friends Alliance, or the Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg, CO.
