Dan Glass, 61, passed away in Fort Collins, Colorado, on November 12, 2024. Born on December 1, 1962, Dan was a master mechanic and a true jack of all trades known for his ability to build a house from the ground up and his skill in tearing down engines and reassembling them with ease. Dan was not only a gifted storyteller who loved sharing his wisdom with his grandchildren, but also a person whose welcoming nature turned every acquaintance into a lifelong friend.
Dan graduated from Poudre High School, where he likely first developed his knack for mechanics and construction. Though he did not pursue higher education, his career was marked by a profound understanding and passion for mechanics.
Beyond his career, Dan was a cherished family man. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marcy Ann Glass; his sister, Joy Glass; his brothers, John F Glass, Jr and Jim M Glass; and his parents, John F Glass Sr and Joyce Glass. Dan's legacy continues through his siblings, Mike, Joe, and Fred; his children, Jody, Cassandra, Daniel Jr, Eugene, Joseph, Marc, Rose, and Cody; his grandchildren, Breanne, Amber, Junior, Nevaeh, Jose, Malakai, Kendra, Orissa, Darlla, Brycen, and Myrah; his niece and nephew Kendall and Justin; and his great-grandchild, Layonna.
A service to honor Dan's life, led by Randy Gustafson, will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at 2 PM at the American Legion, His life and memory will be celebrated by all those who knew him as the extraordinary individual he was.
