Darrell Curry Gallear

Darrell Curry Gallear was born October 21, 1927 in Yelm, Washington to Albert and Margaret Gallear. He spent most of his childhood in Chimacum, where his family moved when he was three.

He earned a Bachelor's degree in geology from the University of Washington in 1951 and graduated from Army Officer School in 1952.

Darrell worked as a petroleum engineer for several companies from 1954-1986 and as an independent contractor from 1986-2018.

Darrell enjoyed hunting, fishing, being with his family, and sharing his knowledge.

On November 7, 1953 Darrell married the love of his life, Marguerite Susan. Together they enjoyed 65 years of a loving marriage and raised three children: Darrell, Scott, and Laura.

Darrell passed away, at the age of 91, on March 19, 2019. Surviving family members include: wife Marguerite, children Darrell, Scott, and Laura, sister Marjorie, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
