David Daniel Mares

David D. Mares, 81, left this earth on August 2nd in Fort Collins, CO to join his Heavenly Father and family who have gone before him. In Heaven, he is embraced by his parents Joseph and Alberta; brothers Joseph, Vincent, Jack, Alonzo, Mitchell; and sisters Bessie, Anna, Margaret, and Emma; and beloved nieces and nephews. He is survived by his brother Louis and sister Elma.
He leaves behind a loving family, including Joyce, his caring wife of 55 years; children Jeffrey and Beth of NH; Ted and Marina of Fort Collins; Elizabeth and David Osborn of Windsor; and Teresa Mares and Henry Sauer of VT; grandchildren Emily and Brian Holmes, Benjamin, Zachary and Aiko Moreno, David, Abbey, Sandy, Jeremy, Emma; and great-grandchildren Hunter, Aiyana, and Roan; and many nieces and nephews.

David served his country in the United States Marine Corps and later had a fulfilling career as a construction superintendent. He loved to fish, watch the Denver Broncos and the Wyoming Cowboys, and laugh and spend time with his family. Services will be held today, Friday August 4th at 10:30 AM at Saint John XXIII in Fort Collins.
