Dawn "Ranae" Beckett, 49, of Fort Collins, Colorado passed away on December 2, 2021.
Ranae was born on July 31, 1972 in Fort Collins to parents Donald George and Wanda Hill. She graduated from Centennial High School and went on to earn an Associate Degree in Medical Assisting from IBMC. She worked at both John Becket and Associates Inc. and Leisure Time. Ranae raised her two sons in Fort Collins and in more recent years, also spent much of her time in Sturgis, South Dakota.
Ranae loved music, karaoke and dancing. True to her Colorado roots, she also enjoyed camping and was a huge Broncos fan. Her friends and family will remember her goofy sense of humor, her smile and her love. She was always joking, always laughing.
Ranae is survived by her children, Larry and Levi Anderson; grandchildren, Lilly and Sofi; brother Jonny George; several half siblings; and lots of friends who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by Larry and Levi's father, Larry Anderson; and ex-husband, Tim Beckett.
The family would like to thank Pathways Hospice, especially nurse Val; Dr. Josephs from Family Medicine; all of the nursing staff and CNA's at PVH; Stefan Price, the palliative care social worker at PVH; and nurse Madeline at PVH. Ranae's sons would especially like to thank Ranae's friends Pam Vincent, Sean Lain; and Terri Lain for all of their help throughout this process.
A celebration of life is being planned for July 31, 2022, time and location to be determined. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ranae can be made to Pathways Hospice.
Song lyrics in memory of Ranae:
I don't care if we fall from grace
I'll follow you down to where forever lies
Without a doubt I'm on your side
There is nowhere else that I would rather be
I'm not about to compromise
Give you up to say goodbye
I've got you through the deep
I'll keep you close to me
