Dean Stanton Reynolds, beloved husband, father, step-father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on June 4th, 2024, at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, CO. He was born on June 8th, 1953 and was the eldest of three children to Robert Stanton Reynolds and Louise Keena Reynolds.
Dean graduated from Pacific University in 1975 with a degree in visual science. He dedicated 30+ years to his career as an optometrist with his late and beloved wife, Susan Ivey. Together they established themselves as dedicated and skilled optometrists and pillars in the community. Dean was also an active member of the Rio Rancho Presbyterian Church, singing in the choir, teaching Sunday school, and serving as a deacon. He was known for having a passion for skiing, basketball, ballroom dancing, and travel. Dean was also intentional about maintaining quality time with his family.
Dean is survived by daughter Brianne Renley and step-children Erin Vaughan, Chris Husher, and Jeff Husher; his five grandchildren, Charlotte, Samson, Owen, Opal, and Oakley; his brothers, Gary and Dave; and many nieces. He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan, and his parents, "Stan" and Louise.
A celebration of Dean's life will be held on July 14th at 5:00 PM at Rio Rancho Presbyterian Church. Donations in Dean's memory can be made to the church. He will be deeply missed and remembered fondly by all who knew him.
