Dianne Dawson

Dianne Dawson, 68 of Windsor, CO died January 15th. Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Monday, Jan. 20 at Timberline Windsor Church, 360 East Crossroads Blvd., Windsor, CO. Interment, following the service will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery, Fort Collins.

Dianne Marjorie Dewey was born July 24, 1945 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin to Warren and Kathleen Dewey. Her family moved to Longmont when she was young and Dianne became very active in Girl Scouts. She graduated from Longmont High School in 1963 and attended CU Boulder. She and Gary Dawson were married in 1964 and together they began their family.

They lived in several places around the Front Range, but lived the longest in Longmont. After her marriage ended, Dianne began working as a Realtor in Longmont. She was active in several church communities during her lifetime; was passionate about quilting; and taught the craft to hundreds of women throughout the Front Range. She even ran a quilting business in Longmont for years. Dianne also enjoyed knitting and sewing and was a very creative and gifted interior decorator. Dianne will be best remembered for putting her heart and soul into creating a comfortable and loving home for her family.

Ten years ago, Dianne settled in Windsor and finished her career working in concierge services at Good Samaritan Society – Water Valley Senior Living Resort.

Dianne is survived by her four children, Doug (and Jana) Dawson of Falls Church, VA, David (and Tandi) Dawson of Windsor, Heather Dawson of Denver and Kim Dawson of Miami, FL; her brother, Doug (and Nancy) Dewey of Windsor; and five grandchildren, Brandt, Kirsten, Brayden, Kami and Carter.

Her family is grateful to Front Range Hospice for their care and attention keeping her comfortable during these last months.
