Donald James "DJ" Bell, 70, of Fort Collins, passed away May 1st, 2026 after a courageous battle with dedifferentiated chondrosarcoma, a rare form of cancer.
He was born April 29, 1956, in Alliance, Nebraska, to Donald and Bonita Bell. DJ took pride in doing things well and doing them himself. He loved building, fixing, and working with his hands, and respected a good set of tools and a well-kept lawn. A lifelong sports fan, baseball was his game and he loved every part of it, whether coaching from the dugout or watching from the stands with his four boys, Brycen, Shea, Trevor, and Chad.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Bell; his sons, Shea, Trevor, Chad, and Brycen Bell; grandson Taysum Bell; and his brothers, Scott and CB Bell. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Bonita Bell, and his brother Denny Bell.
He will be missed every day, by every one of them.
