Donald J. Brown, 75 of Fort Collins, Colorado, died March 15, 2008 at his home. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm Wednesday, March 19th at Goes Funeral Care, 3665 Canal Drive, Fort Collins. He'll be taken home to Milbank, South Dakota where a funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday at Emanuel-Patterson Funeral Home, 312 South 4th St., Milbank. Interment, with military honors follows the service in the Milbank City Cemetery. Donald James Brown was born September 18, 1932 in Milbank to David and Annette Brown. He grew up there and farmed for a living. Don served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He married Lillian Doris Ulrich on February 18, 1956 in LaBolt, SD. He was active in the American Legion in Strandburg. Don and Doris moved to Fort Collins twenty-four years ago. He worked in construction and drove a tanker truck for local dairy farms prior to retiring. In his retirement, Don enjoyed being the neighborhood handyman and good friend to those around him. Don's wife, Doris preceded him in death in 1999. He is survived by his daughter, Faye (and husband, Ron) Matthies of Lakewood, CO; his son, Kevin Brown and granddaughter, Brittany of Fort Collins. He has two brothers, Frank (and Mary) Brown and Robert (and Joyce) Brown; and his sister, Bernice Pauli all of Milbank.
