Donna Lusby, 76, passed away April 26,2025. Donna came into this world on February 4, 1949 with the help of her parents Fredrick Stanley Lusby (Stan) and Beryl Lusby in Richmond Virginia. She was preceded in her death by her parents and brothers David and Rick. She is survived by her life partner and husband of 37 years, Keith Malsom.
Donna spent her primary school years in Oxford Ohio where she discovered her love for the outdoors, nature and all living things, especially animals. She spent many summers with her family and grandmother at Marten River, Canada. Donna graduated from Miami University in 1971. Donna moved to Colorado in 1976 where she continued to pursue her passion for the outdoors hiking with her dogs and biking in the Colorado mountains. She was joined with her life partner Keith Malsom and they continued their passion for the outdoors with many dogs and cats along the way.
Donna was always exploring new interests such as wood carving, learning to play the guitar and ukulele, watercolor, drawing, etc. She enjoyed competing in agility with her dog Niki and won a few ribbons. Donna started her career at Colorado State University in 1977, stayed for 30 years as office manager and student advisor for the Department of Design and Merchandising. She was challenged with dementia with Lewy bodies in the later years of her life.
