Donna Mae Shultz Hogan, aged 61, passed away Saturday December 9, 2017 at her home in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Donna was born October 10, 1956 in Martin, SD to W. Thomas and G. Jane Shultz. She lived with her parents in Martin, SD before moving to Aurora, NE and then to Deming, NM, where she graduated high school in 1974. She attended New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM, completing a Bachelor's of Accountancy from the College of Business in 1980. She then moved to Albuquerque, NM and worked at Lewallen & Co, ultimately making partner. In 1988, she moved to Fort Collins, CO, and worked as tax manager at Rickards & Co. Finally, in 1998 she formed a business with her husband, Hogan & Co. CPAs, PC, where she worked until her passing.
Donna is survived by her husband of 37 years, Dan; her children Apollo (and Nataliya), Daniel Augustus, and Sophie; and three grandchildren Anastasiya Hogan, Erin Hogan, and Christopher Gonzales. She is also survived by her sisters Mary Leui, and Evelyn Butcher, and her brother William (Bill) (and Delia) Shultz.
Donna is predeceased by her parents W. Thomas and G. Jane Shultz and her sister Shirley (and Virgil) Boomgaarn. She is also predeceased by her brothers-in-law Melvin Leui and Don Butcher.
Donna was blessed with a strong sense of intellectual curiosity and a drive to see things through to a correct conclusion. These served her well when engaging with nature through hiking and camping along with her hobbies of gardening and tropical fish. They also served her well in her profession as Donna took great pride in providing her clients the highest possible service.
Most of all, Donna's love for Apollo, Augustus & Sophie was without bounds!
