Duane L Most, age 88, of Loveland, Co passed away at his home peacefully surrounded by his family on September 5, 2025.
Duane was born in Rollag, MN on October 22, 1936 to Martin & Agnes Most. Over the years, Duane developed a very strong work ethic and lifelong love for serving others. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957-1962.
Duane worked hard for his entire life. He was crew chief at the Clay County Highway Department for 29.5 years. He also served on the Felton, MN Fire Department as a volunteer fireman for 23 years. Duane enjoyed being outside whether working, deer hunting for spending time with his family.
After retirement, he and Dorothy moved to Estes Park, CO. He worked as a maintenance person for Golden Eagle Resort for 10 years. Shortly after, they moved down the mountain to Loveland, Co where he once again retired.
Duane enjoyed retirement to the fullest, traveling with his wife, Dorothy, spending time with his grandchildren, friends and family.
Duane is survived by his wife (Dorothy) of 38 years. Children – Duane Jr., Charlene (Russell) Oberg, Theresa (LeRoy) Pixley, Brian (Colleen) Debolt, and Darcie McAnally.
Grandchildren – Ashley (Matt) Cochran, Jacob (Courtney) Most, Melanie Most, Bradley (Robbie) Oberg, Tracy (Bradley) Dunham, Matthew Pixley, Amber(Logan) DeBolt, Madison DeBolt, Logan Nichelson, and Grace Nichelson. Duane also has 9 great grandchildren.
Duane is preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Thelma Johanson, Samuel Most, Morris Most and Diane Most, grandson: Brady Oberg and great-grandchild: Mason Fallensbeedelong.
Burial services will be held on Friday, September 26th at Ft Logan Cemetery, Denver at 9:00 am. Family and Friends are invited for celebration of life at Goes Funeral Home in Fort Collins from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to Hospice as we thank them for their unwavering support during this time.
