Ed Renner, 75 of Estes Park, Colorado, died May 22, 2008 at his home. Ed was born May 31, 1932 in St. Anthony, North Dakota to John and Clara Renner. He attended the University of Colorado at Boulder and married Darleen Mulske on December 25, 1952 in Mandan, ND. They lived formerly in Boulder and Denver. For the past 35 years, they have resided in Estes Park. Ed worked in, managed, owned and operated restaurants throughout his career. Most notably, he owned Georgia Boys in Denver; The Coffee Shop in the Big Thompson Canyon; and the Ranchouse Restaurant in Estes Park. Ed loved to sing; he was a natural born tenor. He was in several musical productions in high school. He majored in music during his years at CU where he played trumpet in a band with Darleen. He also displayed talent in photography while in Boulder, having his own dark room and earning money shooting baby pictures there. He was in the church choir at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Estes Park; and he participated in various local choir groups, musical productions and Barber Shop Quartets over the years. He is survived by his wife, Darleen; two sons, Terry (and Mary Kaye) Renner of Palmetto, Florida and Mike (and Julia) Renner of Depoe Bay, Oregon; two daughters, Patricia Roby (and Isaac Azouz) of Jacksonville, Florida and Cathy (and Mark) Bowles of Fort Collins; two brothers, Ronny Renner of Ft. Collins and Kenny Renner of Rocklin, California; two sisters, Marlene DeLacy of Missoula, Montana and Vi Wilkey of Merritt Island, Florida; four grandchildren, Jessica Preble, Teresa Renner, Morgan Bowles and Carly Bowles; and 3 and a half great-grandchildren, Evan Preble, his brother on the way, Connor Renner and Arianna Renner.
