Edeltraut Elfriede Dideriksen

Edeltraut (Edie) Elfriede Dideriksen passed away peacefully, with her family by her
side on January 7, 2024 at Pathways Hospice in Fort Collins. She was 86 years of
age.

Born on April 9, 1937 in Insterburg Germany, she was the oldest of three girls.
Edie lived in Germany until she was 16 when she came over to the United States
with her family. The Whitier Quaker and Cedar Christian Church helped sponsor
the family with financial assistance, clothing, furniture and support where they
settled in Cedar Rapids Iowa. Edie acclimated well and could speak German,
French and English and acted as a translator.

On April 27, 1963, Edie was united in marriage to Terrill Dideriksen in Cedar
Rapids. Edie and Terry raised their family in Longmont Colorado where they lived
for over 20 years. She spent the years in between working and staying home to
raise her children. Edie worked as a secretary at various places and retired from
Rocky Flats in 1995.

After retirement they moved to Torrington Wyoming where they enjoyed
ranching/farming and the country lifestyle. Edie always loved music and enjoyed
singing with her choir at church. She was a member of the garden club and
enjoyed her community and friends.

Edie is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband Terry of 60
amazing years. Surviving family members include two sisters and her daughters
Julie and Kristi (husband John) and four grandchildren.
