Edna Viola Lynn

Edna Viola Lynn, 101 years of feisty sweetness; of Fort Collins, went to be with the Lord on December 26, 2014.

She was born March 23, 1913. Edna's been a resident of Fort. Collins long enough to have owned and operated the original Rainbow Café with her husband Jack, who died in 1961. Then she was a seamstress at Paramount Cleaners for many years and retired from a job at Mountain Bell.

For years, Edna taught Sunday School and quilted whenever she could. A "Godly" woman would be a good description of her.

Edna's family consists of their three daughters, Floy Schwilling of Emporia, KS, Alfretta (and Ken) Ruhter of Aurora, CO and Myrna (and Harold) Schwindt of Fort Collins. Edna has 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 21 great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild. She helped raise 3 foster children as well.

Services will be held Friday, Jan. 2, 2015 beginning with a visitation at 9:30 am in the South Auditorium of Timberline Church, 2908 S. Timberline Rd. Edna's funeral service will begin at 10:30 Friday at Timberline Church. A luncheon will follow her service at the church, and later Friday, Edna will be laid to rest in Lakeview Cemetery in Windsor.
